Molly

Just wanted everyone to see how Molly's growing. Her legs are getting so long. As you can see from the pictures below, she thinks she owns the house. Her Papa Vince gets her after lunch each day so we have no doubt she's getting all the attention she needs, and probably a little more.

Mountains of dirty clothes, dirty dishes...

a restless dog, frozen pizza dinners, and knee high grass (more like ankle or possibly mid-calf)...these seem to be the joys of football and volleyball season. Bradley is loving his job. Football is good. Our administrators are great...very supportive. And I LOVE my class. They make my heart smile. One of them told me yesterday after she had been absent for 2 days that she "misted" me. And my favorite red-headed boy has declared me the "best teacher [he's] ever had". He got to draw a picture of something today and chose "Hussey Movers" as his topic...complete with a picture of a port-a-potty. If you need a boost to your self esteem or an unexpected laugh, you should teach young children.

First Day of School Highlights

1. Being called Mrs. Bow-was by the children who can't say their r's. I'm not making fun. Many years ago, I was one of them.

2. Hearing all the stories that begin with "One time..." and "hey, you know what..."

3. Seeing them get so very excited about small things like pencils and tootsie rolls. In their eyes, there is nothing better.

Bradley and I both had a good first day. We're thankful for this opportunity and we're thrilled to be at the same school.

Rejoining the Work Force

Yet again, we are members of the work force. We went back to work on Monday. Our students come next Monday. It's been a good week so far; however, I have NEVER been so busy in my life. I haven't made it home before 7:00 yet. But it's only a couple of months...right? In the meantime, we are taking volunteers to clean our house, wash our clothes, cook our meals, cut our grass, and possibly shop for groceries.
