Molly's going to be a big sister!

And we're not getting another puppy. We're having a baby! We are beyond excited. For those of you who know much about us, it's been a very long year. I'm not very far along, but I don't do secrets well. I have known since Monday and refrained from posting on the blog Monday at 6:15 a.m. We thought we should tell our parents and have a doctor's office confirm it before blogging about it. So feel free to pray for us and this baby developing inside of me. I tend to worry (although I've gotten better) and now I'm finding a whole new set of things to worry about. It's so exciting, yet so scary. So that's our news. And there's no way you're as excited as we are. ; )

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Last night my parents were coming over to eat with us and celebrate my daddy's birthday. He'll be 58 this Thursday. What he didn't know is that all 3 of his sisters, 1 of his brothers, and a few others would be joining us. The Bedsoles always know how to enjoy some family time and last night was no exception. We enjoyed lots of laughter and a story or 10. My uncle said my dad was lucky to be here. I thought he was referring to my daddy's health problems, but he continued to tell us that when my daddy was a baby, he and my aunt took him up and down the road trying to give him away. It was so nice to have everyone together.

Jim and I are so blessed to have the daddy that we have. We grew up in a home filled with love and good times. My daddy can find a way to enjoy anything. He always has a joke or something up his sleeve. And it's never what you'd expect. He is a man of character, no doubt. And a christian example for his children. I remember sometime during my college years, sitting "his chair" and looking through his Bible that lay beside it. I found a prayer list there. It's not that I thought my dad didn't pray for us. I'd just never considered it. It meant so much to see our names there...to know he was coming to God on our behalf. My uncle was right last night. When I was 15, my dad had a heart attack. He went on to have a balloon put in and a defibulator. Later when I was in college, the defibulator saved his life. He had a triple bypass right after I finished junior college. It was a scary time, and still something that worries me from time to time. We are beyond blessed to have the father that we have. Every minute we spend with him is precious and we are so thankful to have him.

Happy Birthday, Daddy. We love you so much.

Take one look at this face

And tell me you wouldn't want him to be your Valentine too.
I love him because he makes me laugh a lot.
I love him because he has amazing patience.
I love him because he is so kind to everyone and anyone.
I love him because he is always willing to help...
whether it's helping me by washing clothes
or a kid at school who needs a ride home after workouts.
He always does it...and never complains.
I love him because he encourages me and he keeps a positive attitude
through all the things we face.
I love him because he knows when to hold me and when to let me cry.
I love him because he prays for me.
I love him because he's always willing to pray WITH me.
I love him for these reasons and more.
I love him more than I ever imagined loving someone.
Thank you, God, for this man. You are so good.
I am so thankful that you had bigger plans for me than I ever had for myself.
Happy Valentines Day.

I'm dreaming of a white...

Friday??????????????? This is our house/yard all covered in snow. For the most part of the day we stayed snuggled up inside in front of the fire.

But we did bundle up and head outside for a little fun in the snow. This is Bradley and his dad working on a snowman. His backside (the snowman's) looks a little large.
And this is us...after a little snowball fight. His aim was bad or I was just too quick for him (I pick the latter). I got him way more times than he hit me.
It was a nice, cozy day at home. Hope you enjoyed your day as much as we enjoyed ours.

She's Growing Up

Molly took a big step today. She stayed inside all by herself...no kennel, no parents, no pen. And she was such a big girl! I expected her to at least relieve herself on my rug at the back door. She does that when we don't realize she needs to go out. But at least she is making an effort to go outside. She'll be 9 months old in a week, and she's come a LONG way. She's been running with Bradley some. She's been staying outside some (she's ok as long as she doesn't know we're home). And last week she drank all her water and brought me her water bowl because she wanted more. She hits the doorknob when she needs to go out. She's like a little person...complete with a little personality. We love her...sometimes more than others. :)

Quick Question

Can the moon be full for 2 weeks in a row???????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 3 + 2 does NOT equal 8 nor does it equal 1 (contrary to what some little people think). And 3 socks are NOT enough for 3 children. Those three children would have 1 cold foot each. They need 3 PAIRS of socks...that makes 6 socks total. Frustration is the key word this week..... But I still love them.
